I'm asking you to take the February "love challenge". It's simple- Here it is:
1. Begin your first daily interaction with everyone who shares a home with you, (spouse, partner, pets, kids, parents, whomever!) with "I love you"
2. When you go to your place of work, find something or someone that you can direct feelings of love toward. Maybe you work with children, with people who are ill, with people who are kind and loving. Maybe you work in a cut throat climate in which you're not feeling the love. Find something or someone that you can silently beam a loving thought toward 3 times daily. If it is only the view from your window, your cup of coffee, or a special pen that you can love and appreciate then do that!
3. In your written interactions with people(email text, snail mail), unless it is absolute business, use love in your signature (love, your name). Too often when we write to friends, extended family, etc, we avoid love. Use it, and watch as the love begins to flow back to you!
4.When you're returning home from your place of work, take a moment to love and appreciate yourself for something that you did or said during your day. Don't skip this one! Sometimes it's most difficult to direct love at ourselves.
5. When you get ready to end your day, begin your last interaction of the day with "I love you" with those you share a home with. If you can add something genuine that you love about the person, even better!
I've been testing out the challenge in my own life. I find myself feeling more grounded, more positive, and, yep...much more loving! If you take the challenge, please comment and let me know how you're doing!
